What is the Non-Standard Packaging Surcharge?

At WINGBOX, we strive to ensure smooth and efficient shipping for all our customers. However, certain packaging dimensions, weights, or characteristics may require additional handling, resulting in extra charges. This is because our delivery partners must process these packages differently from standard shipments.

Criteria for Non-Standard Packaging

A shipment is subject to the Non-Standard Packaging Surcharge if it meets any of the following conditions:

• Exceeds 120 cm on its longest side, 80 cm on its second-longest side, or 300 cm in total (Length + 2 x Width + 2 x Height).

• Weighs more than 30 kg.

• The item is not fully enclosed in outer packaging.

• It is packed in non-cardboard materials, such as metal, wood, hard plastic, or styrofoam.

• It is wrapped in soft outer materials (e.g., canvas, leather, soft plastic, or personal polymailers).

• The package is covered with shrink wrap, stretch wrap, bubble wrap, or excessive tape.

• The package is round or cylindrical, such as mailing tubes, cans, or barrels.

• It is secured with metal, plastic, or cloth bands or has wheels, handles, or straps.

• It has a shape or material that could tangle, damage other shipments, or disrupt the sorting system.

How much is the Non-Standard Packaging Surcharge?

WINGBOX applies a surcharge of IDR 431,000 per shipment for non-standard packaging.
